King Nero
16.1hh coloured Trakehner (1986 -- 2008)
Nero was only with us for a short time but this amazing stallion, who’s proud ancestory can be traced back to the 1800’a made a major impact on not only myself personally, but our breeding programme. We had 3 beautiful foals by him in 2009, the last ever in the world, we were thrilled that they were all coloured and he will live on through his last ever foal , named CDS King Nero.

We are retaining King Nero II (born June 2009) who has most definetly inherited his sires laid back attitude, he too is registered with the AES and is also homozygous for the colour gene, meaning he will produce coloured offspring no matter what colour the mare!! When he is 3 yrs old we hope to put him forward for grading to the AES.
King Nero
King Nero was bred in Poland, where he was originally named “Neron”. He was fully licensed and inspected by the government as a 4 year old and stood for only one season there before being sold to Holland to compete and stand at stud. Despite this fact he still produced 2 licenced stallions in his first season at stud. These stallions are Neander (82 GEL) and Naecyz (255 Gby). In addition he produced over 20 graded mares.
In Holland he was graded with the AES (Anglo European Studbook) for a number of years before moving after a dispute his then owner had with the stud book to the Netherlands European stud book, then later he was crossed into the European Studbook where he gained elite status.
Registered and graded with Anglo European Studbook,(AES) Polish Studbook &Elite Graded with Netherlands European Studbook (ES). He is the sire of the UK stallions Centryfield Nico and Omarco and the licensed Polish Stallions Neander (82 GEL) and Naecyz (255 Gby). He has a substantial number of graded stallions and mares in Holland , Germany, Poland and indeed all over Europe & also the UK.

CDS King Nero
A homozygous tobiano colt, his dam is by Goshka Ringo (Ferro), he will be retained by us to go forward for grading as a breeding stallion, he has his sire’s great movement, fabulous conformation and such a laid back nature, and on top of all he is guaranteed to produce a coloured foal no matter what the colour of the dam. He is the last foal ever by King Nero, tribute to his sire indeed!!!

The coloured trakahner
Coloured warmbloods have been bred in Poland for many generations as they combine the elegance of the Trakehner, with the quality of the thoroughbred and truly spectacular colour.
It is the Wielkopolski (Wlpk) which has been used more extensively in sport, it has been used for eventing and Polish event teams have done well internationally. The breeding policy is highly selective and potential Stallions are first examined as foals, tested for conformation, paces and jumping technique and regularly tested thereafter before being allowed to be exported as breeding Stallions.
Background on Nero
Nero as he is known at home comes from a long line of trakehner which can be traced further than 1931. He has a full pedigree that goes back over 5 generations.
It is the Anglo European Studbook (AES), who issue his covering certificates, world leaders in breeding and a member of the World Breeders Federation. His offsring are eligible for registration with the AES.
Background on breeding
Recesja produced four coloured graded Stallions, all pure bred coloured Trakeheners including Rewir and his best son Nil (Nero’s Sire) who have dominated Polands coloured breeding for a long time and descendents can be found all over Europe showjumping. Isaria was the dam and grand dam of graded mares Inga, Ida, Irga and Istra.
