Mooiman (Flemmingh) x Wellington x Zaire
This is a rare opportunity to accquire a stunning 3 year old gelding. He oozes quality and presence. He is a real beauty with superb conformation and three powerful, elevated paces. Naturally built uphill with very correct limbs. A graceful young horse who is easy to do in all respects, lunging & long reining nicely. Currently standing 15hh, so will be an exciting BYRDS prospect, or fabulous dressage prospect for a small adult. Full brother to “Amazonman” winner of numerous BD National Young Horse classes. He has superb conformation and would also make an excellent HOYS small riding horse.
Coolman is the image of his father and also has his outstanding movement
Two of the Netherlands best dressage progenitors in one stallion, Flemmingh and the Pref grandsire Roemer: Mooiman a talented Approved KWPN stallion, at 6 year old won the National Stallion dressage competition at the Hengst Keuring (stallion grading) 2001 in Den Bosch. Internationsl Grand Prix dressage stallion with placings in his debut season in 2008, gaining 9’s for his amazing trot work.
Mooiman is conspicuous through a loose shoulder and fantastic fore leg action, with much strength from the hindquarters. A striking appearance he himself demonstrates. He is proving to pass on these qualities to his young offspring, approved sons, Abacus (Tuschinski x Mooiman HFD)licensed under the ISR Oldenburger stud book and Saintropez-M (Mooiman hfd x Contango)approved with the AES. His sons representing Holland and the UK at International level with young riders. Offspring are also placing highly at National Championships, Typical Dutch at the Dutch National Pavo Cup placed in the top ten of the final. In England Tarzan become the Open Elementry East Region Champion. These are just a few examples of the high standards Mooiman offspring are achieving.
Flemmingh carries all of the great Holstein jumping names on his pedigree. His breeding combines the blood of the French import Cor de la Bryere with the Holsteiner Farnese, plus a double dose of Thoroughbred via Ladykiller xx. Flemmingh has been given ¨Preferent¨ status by the KWPN. This is the highest rating that a stallion can receive in Holland, indicating the highest quality and contribution to Dutch breeding.
When famed Dutch breeder, Weipke van de Lageweg, bought the bay jumper colt Flemmingh, he could not have known that the stallion would form the foundation of a whole new dressage line! Flemmingh placed 3rd in his performance test in 1990, scoring three 9s out of a possible 10, including a 9 for jumping. Flemmingh was described as having ¨fine movements, an active, roomy walk, a rich trot and a good canter. He is a careful jumper with a lot of talent. He showed to be a willing worker and never seemed to tire.
Wellington passed the performance test in 1983, when he became Reserve Champion. The jury gave him nines for training behaviour, stable manners and temperament, and 8.5 for the two jumping components. Wellington made his sport debut in the 1984/1985 season when he got a beautiful third in the National Stallion Competition category A jumping, came second in the same competition in the following season and in1987/1988 Wellington won the national Stallion Competition category C. He also starred in dressage at Z-level and jumped national 1.30 m courses. Wellington was not only approved for service in the Netherland, but also in Belgium and for Selle Francais.
Wellington, is by the sublime ‘preferent’ Nimmerdor who passed inspection in more than twenty sons and whose products are such excellent sport Performers that he takes second place in the jumping index, which is further added to by his heredity reliability being no less than 94%. To mention but a few of Nimmerdor’s well-known offspring: Up to Date (winner of the Grand Prix Amsterdam), Optiebeurs Aldato, Zadok, and Olympic Ahorn. Nimmerdor is considered one of the most important Dutch stallions of the last few years. The same can be said of ‘preferent’ Lucky Boy xx, who sired Wellington’s ‘keur’ dam Patty. Lucky Boy also ranks in the top ten of the stallion jumping index, not least because of the fantastic successes of Calypso, The Freak, Van Gogh and Medrano. Patty’s dam is ’ster’ Eritama, daughter of Romeo, also a ‘preferent’ stallion and regular producer of splendid movers. Wellington is full brother to the approved stallion Elberton, and half-brother to Haciende -- out of Wellington’s dam Patty -- who was 3-yr-old National Champion Mare in 1992.
Wellington has proved to be a true son of his ancestors and already reached a high dressage and jumping index figure at an early age. He was granted the prefix ‘keur’ for his breeding efforts so far: Wellington produced a considerable number of ’ster’ and ‘keur’ mares, and his male offspring are notable performers.
