CDS King Nero 09 Homozygous Colt

To make 16.1hh

Sire: King Nero

Sire of Dam: Goshka Ringo (King, Ferro)

CDS King Nero is a rare Homozygous Tobiano dressage colt.  He is rare in that he carries both the colour gene but he is also guaraneed not to throw chestnuts.  His unique dressage breeding also stands him apart from many of the homozygous colts you may find,  most being showing lines that you are unlikely to have heard of.  He is also registered with the AES (Anglo European Studbook)   His sire was one of the 1st and few coloured dressage stallions to be licensed with them.  He carries world class dressage breeding lines on both sire and dams side and on top will always produce coloured offspring.

He is the last King Nero foal born in the world and a special home is sought where he will used to continue the proud lines of his sire.  Only for sale due to a change in breeding direction.

Below are some up to date pictures of Nero now a yearling, bless they really do go through “ugly duckling” stage between 1-2 yrs!!

Sire – King Nero 1986 – 2008

King Nero was bred in Poland, where he was originally named “Neron”.   An extremely rare coloured trakahner stallion, he was fully licensed and inspected by the government as a 4 year old and stood for only one season there before being sold to Holland to compete and stand at stud.  Despite this fact he still produced 2 licenced stallions in his first season.  These stallions are Neander (82 GEL) and Naecyz (255 Gby).  In addition he produced over 20 graded mares.  His pedigree boasts a long line of trakehner  which can be traced further than 1931.  He has a full pedigree that goes back over 5 generations.

In Holland he was graded with the AES (Anglo European Studbook) for a number of years before moving after a dispute his then owner had with the stud book to the Netherlands European stud book, then later he was crossed into the European Studbook where he gained elite status.  He competed in Holland up to Z level before being sold to us in the UK, where we were lucky enough to own him, if only for a very short time.  He had an amazing temprement that his son has definetly inherited.

Registered and graded with Anglo European Studbook,(AES) Polish Studbook & Elite Graded with Netherlands European Studbook (NES). He is the sire of the UK stallions Centryfield Nico and Omarco.  He has a substantial number of graded stallions and mares in the UK,  Holland, Germany,  Poland and in fact all over Europe.

Coloured warmbloods have been bred in Poland for many generations as they combine the elegance of the Trakehner, with the quality of the thoroughbred and truly spectacular colour.

It is the Wielkopolski (Wlpk) which has been used more extensively in sport, it has been used for eventing and Polish event teams have done well internationally. The breeding policy is highly selective and potential Stallions are first examined as foals, tested for conformation, paces and jumping technique and regularly tested thereafter before being allowed to be exported as breeding Stallions.

Ringo competed successfully to medium level dressage prior to his move to France in 2008.
