Welcome to Lakeview stud.  We are a small stud specialising in the breeding  & production of high calibre horses suitable for any discipline but in particular dressage. We are adding a little bit of magic in the colour although only some of our wonderful dressage horses are coloured.  Tucked away in the countryside of the North West of England, we offer the highest quality of care for all horses who visit us,  whether that be a world class stallion or little old broodmare.

We take young horses for training and are happy to deal with colts and stallions, indeed our stallions live on a mixed yard and we feel it is important for their state of mind to live as a normal horse.  Our stallions therefore go out to grass for a few hours a day just like the others in the summer.

We take a few select horses on full livery and for training/retraining also youngsters & stallions  in preparation for gradings, BEF, showing and keurings etc.  We pride ourselves on a very high level of turnout as well as care, which was rewarded last year when one of our 09  foals (CDS Sapphire) was 2nd at Brightwells Dressage Stars of the Future, and our last 2 yrs foals have recieved “premium status” & therefore pink papers with Oldenburg Verbrand!  Praise indeed not only for our faulous broodmares but also the carefully selected stallions we use in our breeding programmes.
